CENTRAL GALWAY  ·  OVER A THOUSAND CLIENTS TREATED
5 must-knows before you book BABYGLOW skin boosters
Skin notes · Galway · 2026

This is what I wish more women knew before their first one. And the reason I sometimes tell people to wait.

Something has shifted in what my female clients are asking me for.

Two years ago, nearly every enquiry that came into the clinic was about filler. Now most of them are not. Filler bookings have fallen away sharply across the country, and I am hearing the same from my suppliers in the industry. The focus is no longer on solely adding volume.

What replaced it is skin health. Women want skin boosters, polynucleotides and anything that gives skin radiance and hydration, rather than chasing volume or an over full look. They want their own face to look its best, not to change it.

BABYGLOW sits right in the middle of that shift, and it is the treatment I am asked about more than any other right now. So here are the five things I would want you to know before you book one, including the reason I sometimes say no.

Healthy hydrated skin after a skin booster treatment
Designed to improve skin quality rather than changing shape. That is the beauty of a skin booster.

1It is not filler, and it will not change your face

This is the part people get wrong before they walk in.

Filler is designed to add volume and change shape. BABYGLOW is designed to do neither. The product is a hyaluronic acid skin booster, and the entire technique is built around where it goes and how far apart the points sit, so that it settles under the skin as a layer that holds water and reflects light.

It does not build volume. It does not sharpen a jaw. It does not lift anything. Your bone structure, your proportions and your expressions are exactly the same when you walk out.

If your fear is leaving a clinic looking done, this is the opposite of the thing you are afraid of.

What changes is the quality of your skin. Smoother texture, better bounce, and that healthy glow we all want. BABYGLOW works beneath the surface to improve the skin itself, rather than simply masking it.

Skin booster placed at mapped injection points
The product is placed just under the surface at mapped points, each at its own angle and depth.

2It is eight small points, not a face full of needles

BABYGLOW uses a very fine, very short needle, and the product is placed just under the surface at a set of mapped points across the face. Eight of them, each at its own angle and depth. That is the whole treatment.

With numbing, the appointment takes around thirty minutes. I would describe the sensation as small scratches rather than pain, and most of my clients tell me BABYGLOW is the easiest treatment they have had.

There is no real downtime with BABYGLOW, so you can get straight back to your normal daily activities after your treatment.

You may notice tiny raised points where the product has been placed, but these usually settle by the following morning. A little bruising is possible, as with any injectable treatment.

If you have been waiting for the right moment to try one, I am running an introduction offer on BABYGLOW for new clients at the moment.

Depth and spacing are what the BABYGLOW technique is built around.

3What makes BABYGLOW different

BABYGLOW is not just a name given to any skin booster. It is a specific treatment developed by Teoxane, and the product is a big part of what makes it different.

But there is more to it than the product alone. The BABYGLOW technique involves placing the product at specific points across the face, and getting the depth and the spacing right is important. It is those little details that help make sure the product sits exactly where it needs to be, so that everything settles beautifully.

That is why I am particular about both the product I use and how I perform the treatment. When you book BABYGLOW with me, you are getting the Teoxane treatment, carried out personally by me, from your consultation right through to the treatment itself.

Before and after a course of three skin booster sessions

4You will not see much on day one

Hydration is the first thing to show, usually within three to five days. That is the part people notice in the mirror and in photographs.

When we introduce the BABYGLOW cocktail of hyaluronic acid, amino acids and antioxidants into the skin, the benefits go beyond hydration. Over the following weeks you will continue to see improvements in skin smoothness and overall skin quality.

Which means do not book this two days before a wedding. Book it three to four weeks ahead. BABYGLOW is a course of two to three treatments, not a one-off. Once you have completed your course, most clients tend to come back about twice a year to keep the result.

5It is not right for everyone, and I will tell you

BABYGLOW treats skin quality. It does not treat volume loss, and it will not erase a deep line that is still sitting there when your face is completely relaxed. If that is the thing bothering you, a booster is the wrong tool and I would rather say so at the consultation than take your money.

It is also not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if there is an active skin infection or inflammation in the area.

I would rather be honest with someone than carry out a treatment that is not right for them. Yes, it might mean losing a booking that day, but I will always put my clients' best interests first. I think that is why so many of the women who come to me continue to do so, year after year.
